Born in Orsett Essex, England on january 27th 1993, Jay started dancing classes at the age of 7. **His young sister Jazmines dance classes of ballroom latin and disco followed Jay's football practice so he would have to sit and watch her. When she practiced at home he started to tell her what she was doing wrong... He was soon dancing in the class to help her. The teachers were amazed that a boy so young could master the steps so quickly.

They gave him a partner of his own age and entered them into competitions where they immediately started to win trophies and impress judges. 10 months and 8 trophies later Jay now 8 years old. He wanted to try something more demanding his father suggested Flamenco..

The Raquel Peña flamenco dance school was starting up an all boys class near where we had a holiday home in spain so Jay joined this with 5 other boys. and soon discovered he had a talent for this. the group soon turned into 3 boys who formed the group PURO NERVIO which consisted of Jay, Raul and Angel two spanish boys. They soon gained recognition and gathered many followers.

Jay appeard on Murcia TV as special guests in a program for talented children and then being invited to dance in the WORLD SEVILLANA FERRIA in Seville where They obtained a standing ovation, with there skills at such a young age. After Raul and Angel went their separate ways Jay emerged as a confident solo artist at only 14yrs old and he has many followers of his career.

At 15 years old Jay won tv talent competition Spain´s Next Star, the same year he also won many trophy´s in latin and ballroom all over spain aswell as getting to the finals in the European Championship. At 16 Jay had also been training with Lola Sornichero for 5 years now and moved over to her academy full time. That same year Jay won a Pride Of Spain Award and was nominated best Young Achiever for 2 years running.
